8 Facts About A Self Taught Embroiderer

Hello friend! It means so much  to me that you’ve taken time out of your day to visit my blog. In this blog you can expect me to discuss embroidery with how-tos and recommendations, life as a mompreneur , fun family activities, and periodically I’ll share a behind the scenes look into my business.

Let’s get to know each other! I’ll start by answering 8 questions below about myself.

Who is your hero?

My Mom is my hero. She raised my brother and I as a single Mom. She taught me the value of hard work and that girls can do anything, especially hard things.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

At this stage in my life, I’d live right here in Northwest Arkansas. Our son is 18 months and it’s so important to me that he has a strong relationship with his family. Plus, I could never take him away from his Grandparents, Aunt, Uncles, and Cousins.

What is your favorite family vacation?

Joe and I went to Oahu a few years ago and it was magical. I grew up poor, like really poor and never got to take a “real” vacation. Heck, I didn’t even see a beach until I was 21 when I went to San Diego with a girlfriend. I’ll never forget circling Oahu and getting so excited to land and make my way to the beach. Joe and I spent 7 days there going to the beach multiple times a day, snorkeling, hiking, eating tons of Samuri soft serve, and soaking in every bit of island life. This was my favorite vacation before Oliver. We have a Disney cruise planned for this October and I’m pretty sure it’s going to be the best yet. Our son makes everything better!

What makes you laugh the most?

Memes. I know that is basic, but really! My best friend and I send memes and videos to each other multiple times per day that are hilarious. Here’s my favorite one to date:

What did you want to be when you were a kid?

I wanted to be an Orthodontist. I had a great Orthodontist who really helped my smile and I thought I wanted to do it too. As it turns out, I’m not really into medical stuff and I mostly pass out around blood or needles. I avoided medical completely and went to Business School.

What would you sing at Karaoke night?

I’d probably sing 2000’s rap. Throw on some Nelly. Is it getting hot in herre or is it me?

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

For sure a medium filet, loaded baked potato, and salad with ranch. It’s my go-to when nothing sounds good!

How many pillows do you sleep with?

I sleep with two pillows. They can’t be too fluffy or directly on top of each other though. Too much fluff makes my neck hurt! I know, you might be thinking that I’m high maintenance – ha! that is what Joe says!

Now you know a few random facts about me. Say hi and let me know something about you in the comments below!
